Memorial Park of Legendary Judge in E China's Hefei

BEIJING, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- The Lord Bao Park, located in Hefei, east China's Anhui province, is a memorial park for Bao Zheng, an official in the Northern Song dynasty (960-1127). The park comprises Lord Bao Temple, Lord Bao Tomb and Qingfeng Pavilion among other things.

Bao Zheng (Bao Gong), who was born in April 999 A.D. in present-day Hefei City of Anhui Province, used to be the magistrate of the capital Kaifeng in the period of Northern Song Dynasty (A.D. 960- 1127). He was highly esteemed for his strictness in upholding justice in performing his duty and unyielding to the misconduct of the powerful officials.
