BEIJING, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted 73 km northeast of Calama, Chile at 1040 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 112.38 km, was initially determined to be at 21.9017 degrees south latitude and 68.5677 degrees west longitude.
