BEIJING, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- China's National Press and Publication Administration and the China Writers Association (CWA) on Friday jointly held an event in Beijing to introduce 25 high-quality online literature works.
The works tell stories of various aspects of Chinese society in different periods, including the reform and opening-up and the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and the lives of normal Chinese people such as grassroots police officers and doctors.
"These works, based on real life and generally presenting the stories with realism, are of great ideological and artistic merit and marked by unique characteristics particular to online literature," said Chen Qirong, director of the CWA's online literature committee.
Such events have been held for five consecutive years, introducing 112 outstanding online literature works to the public.
