BEIJING, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- A Buddha statue alongside the Nile, magnificent buildings within the Forbidden City compound and a little girl at a village in the heart of the Caucasus Mountains.
Visitors now have a chance to appreciate all these images and more at the "Belt and Road Photography Exhibition on Humanities and History," which began Friday at the Palace Museum.
With pictures featuring topics such as history and cultural heritage in countries and regions participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, the exhibition presents differences between civilizations from different countries, nationalities and beliefs, as well as mutual learning and coexistence among them.
The exhibition is run in the east courtyard attached to the garden of the Palace of Compassion and Tranquility.
It will last until Oct. 27.
