SARAJEVO, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- A seminar on Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)-China relations was held here in the BiH capital on Saturday.
More than 20 dignitaries from the political, academic, business and media sectors of BiH attended the meeting and exchanged their views on current and future BiH-China relations.
Mladen Ivanic, a former member of BiH's presidency, said that BiH and the Balkan region had benefited from China's investment without strings attached. He stressed that BiH should seize the development opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative and actively carry out pragmatic cooperation with China.
Amel Kovacevic, Finance minister of Sarajevo canton, said the Belt and Road Initiative and China-CEEC (Central and Eastern European Countries) cooperation have benefited the world, and BiH cannot miss this opportunity.
The participants also look forward to deepening bilateral exchanges in academic, cultural and other fields.
Chinese Ambassador to BiH Ji Ping attended the seminar and gave detailed answers on bilateral relations as well as Chinese political and economic topics.
The seminar was jointly organized by the Bosnia-China Friendship Association and the BiH Belt and Road Construction and Promotion Center.
