WINDHOEK, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) on Monday announced that seagoing personnel and voters abroad will cast their votes for the upcoming Presidential and National Assembly elections on Nov. 13.
Namibia's forthcoming elections are scheduled to take place on Nov. 27.
The ECN in a statement said in order to accord an equal opportunity to all voters, provision has been made for seagoing personnel and voters abroad to cast their votes earlier.
"Namibian foreign missions respectively where polling stations are established, the Namibia Defense forces and the Namibian Police security personnel who will be performing duties on Nov. 27 will also cast their votes on Nov. 13," the electoral body added.
Meanwhile, Namibia will use the Electronic Voting Machine for the Presidential and National Assembly Elections, the ECN said, adding that voters should carry their voters' card to the polling stations in order to be allowed to cast their vote.
