RIGA, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Visiting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that his talks with Latvian President Egils Levits focused on further coordinated cooperation in various international bodies and platforms.

Zelensky arrived in Riga on Wednesday for an official visit to meet with top Latvian officials for talks on bilateral cooperation, particularly in international organizations and business exchange.

Speaking at a news conference following his meeting with Levits, the Ukrainian leader said that his visit would "open a new page in the relationship between our friendly nations".

Zelensky thanked Latvia for its support to Ukraine's reforms and called for stepping up business contacts, urging Latvian entrepreneurs to invest in Ukraine.

Latvia is ready to share its reform experience with Ukraine to help attain its Euro-Atlantic integration goals, Levits assured his Ukrainian counterpart, especially underlining the significance of successful judicial reforms.

The Latvian president also voiced confidence that Zelensky's visit will strengthen bilateral ties, political dialogue and work on joint projects for the benefit of both countries.
