KIEV, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- The 2019 Belt and Road Forum for Cooperation and Development of Sichuan International Friendship Cities will bring huge opportunities for participants, an official of the western Ukrainian city of Lviv said on Thursday.
Roman Staretskyi, acting head of the investments and projects office of the Lviv City Council, made the remarks on his Facebook page, referring to the forum which kicked off on Tuesday in the southwestern Chinese city of Chengdu.
In total, "43 delegations from 32 countries around the world participate in the Chengdu forum under the famous visionary slogan One Belt One Road. The focus is on energy and infrastructure, urban cooperation and the new Silk Road from Asia to Europe. This will open huge opportunities," wrote the official on Facebook.
The Ukrainian official described the work of the delegation headed by Lviv mayor Andriy Sadovyi as a success.
Sadovyi presented a report on the city of Lviv and its potential for cooperation with China's Sichuan Province.
