MANAMA, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- Bahraini Foreign Ministry on Friday called on its citizens to leave Lebanon immediately in light of the current developments as protests enter a second day.
The ministry stressed its earlier statements that Bahrainis must not travel to Lebanon under any circumstances for the sake of their own safety.
Nationwide protests have paralyzed Lebanon as demonstrators blocked major roads on a second day of rallies against the government's handling of an economic crisis.
