LONDON, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- With technological innovations in AI and 5G transforming the world around us, China and Britain can explore closely how to apply these technologies in education and healthcare, Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, said on Tuesday.
Prince Andrew made the comment when addressing the 15th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC) in London, an event that attracted Chinese and overseas Chinese business leaders to explore opportunities in Britain under the theme of "new world, new opportunities".
He said the WCEC presents important opportunities for collaboration between Britain and China, calling for a new spirit of cooperation.
"This convention has come here to call a new generation of entrepreneurs to action; action based on the spirit of harmony, cooperation, openness, and innovation all spirits of which we can aspire to emulate," he said, dubbing it the "London Spirit".
Jimmy Zhang, leader of UK Chinese Business Association, said Britain has attracted world Chinese investors with its cutting-edge technology and creative industry as well as well-established property, education and finance industry.
For the world Chinese entrepreneurs, Britain's position in international finance and corporate governance, its network and influence in the Commonwealth, provides an excellent path for them to go global, Zhang said.
