KABUL, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- The provincial police chief of Afghanistan's western Badghis province was shot and killed while visiting in western side of Kabul on Thursday, in a latest string of targeted attack, spokesman of Interior Ministry said.
"Sharifullah Chamto was on vacation in Kabul but he martyred following a terrorist attack by shooting roughly at 12:45 p.m. local time on Thursday, in Ada-e-Ghazni locality, Police District 5," Spokesman Nasrat Rahimi said on twitter.
The Afghan security forces will soon revenge the vicious terrorist attack, he said.
Taliban militant group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
At least six people have been killed in targeted attacks in Afghanistan since early this month.
