CHONGQING, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Alan Kardec scored the lone goal to help Chongqing Lifan breeze across Shanghai Greenland 1-0 in the 26th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) here on Friday.
In the 16th minute, Feng Jin made his pass, hit the arm of Zhu Chenjie who looked like to jump for a header, and was rewarded with a penalty.
Kardec stepped onto the spot to make it 1-0 for the home side.
Chongqing lost its chance for a double in the 84th minute when Kardec's volley flew off the left post.
"Coach Choi Kang-hee told me to attack when there was still a lot of time, but we did not seize the chances," said Giovanni Moreno, midfielder of Shanghai Greenland.
"Every game is different. Although we lost it, we still have to look up and prepare for the next," he added.
