One year on, world's longest sea bridge facilitates more people

The world's longest bridge-and-tunnel sea crossing has seen over 14 million passengers as well as 1.5 million vehicles after one year's operation.

MACAO, Oct. 27, 2019 (Xinhua) -- Launched on Oct. 23 last year,the 55-km Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, known as the longest bridge-and-tunnel sea crossing in the world, links China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), the city of Zhuhai of southern Guangdong Province and Macao SAR, making it more convenient for ordinary people to travel the three places in a single day.

The bridge, facilitating exchanges of people, economy and trade among the three areas, is a model project of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
