An initial investigation shows that a male shooter entered the party from the back door. The shooter is still at large. Over 700 people were at the party when gunfire erupted.
HOUSTON, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and about 12 others injured in a shooting overnight at an off-campus party near Texas A&M University-Commerce, near Greenville City, Texas.
In a press conference held Sunday morning, Hunt County's police office confirmed two people were shot dead, and the majority of injuries were sustained by young people.

A police officer said an initial investigation showed that a male shooter entered the party from the back door, and that the shooter is still at large, adding that over 700 people were at the party when gunfire erupted.
According to local media, it was a homecoming party of students from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

The police officer confirmed some students are among the injured and an investigation is underway, adding that some Halloween costumes were found at the scene.
Texas A&M University-Commerce campus has more than 12,000 students and it is officially homecoming weekend. ■
