BEIJING, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- Mikhail Pletnev, a renowned Russian pianist, conductor and composer, will have a piano recital at the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) On Nov. 5.
As the winner of multiple international piano competitions, including the 1978 Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition, Pletnev will bring two masterpieces from Mozart and two other sonatas from Beethoven.
Tickets for the show are available on the official website of the NCPA, ranging from 180 yuan (25.45 U.S. dollars) to 680 yuan.
In 1990, Pletnev founded the first independent orchestra in Russia, featuring the participation of many prominent musicians. His adaptations of "Nutcracker Suite" and "Sleeping Beauty" were showcased in the album "Great Pianists of the 20th Century."
