The 175-meter-experimental impoundment of the largest water control facility in the world greets its final sprint this year.
YICHANG, Oct. 30, 2019 (Xinhua) -- The 175-meter experimental impoundment of Three Gorges Reservoir this year came to final stage at present as the water level of the reservoir rose to 174.43 meters as of 8pm Monday.
This year's water storage of the Three Gorges Reservoir will be challenging due to less water inflow, large demand from reservoirs in the valley, as well as low water level in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
