Built in times of wars, Xiangyu village looks like a castle. The defensive function was its most prominent characteristic.
JINCHENG, Oct. 31, 2019 (Xinhua) -- Xiangyu village is located in Qinshui County, north China's Shanxi Province. The village was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It was well protected and you can also still feel the majesty of the period.
The most attractive feature of the village is its ancient mansions, which appear quite similar to the classic Beijing Siheyuan - a courtyard with houses on four sides.
