TALUQAN, Afghanistan, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Six travelers lost their lives and 10 others sustained injuries as a passenger bus turned turtle in Kalafgan district of the northern Takhar province on Saturday, provincial government spokesman Mohammad Jawad Hajari said.
A Kabul-bound passenger bus, driving from Badakhshan province to the capital city Kabul Saturday morning, turned upside down due to careless driving in Kalafgan district at 06:30 a.m. local time. Six commuters, including women and children, lost their lives on the spot and 10 others injured, and some were in critical condition, the official said.
The official said the investigation is underway and blamed reckless driving for the deadly road accident, without telling if the driver had been killed or arrested.
