BEIRUT, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Demonstrations continued for the 17th day in several areas in Lebanon, calling for the formation of a government of experts in the country, LBCI TV Channel reported Saturday.
Protesters gathered in the capital Beirut, Tripoli, Sidon and other cities, vowing to continue their movements until Lebanese authorities meet all their demands including the fight against corruption and accountability for all involved in public funds squandering.
The current nationwide protests in Lebanon started on Oct. 17, which led to the resignation of the prime minister on Oct. 29.
However, some protesters also asked for the mass resignation of the president and all lawmakers.
