TUNIS, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- Tunisia will participate in the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) scheduled for Nov. 5 to 10, Tunisian Ministry of Commerce said Sunday.
Tunisia reserved a pavilion at the Chinese expo in Shanghai, with the participation of 10 Tunisian companies specialized in the export of olive oil, dates, canned seafood, dry tomatoes and pasta.
"The CIIE will open new horizons to introduce the Tunisian products to the huge Chinese market," the ministry said.
Tunisia has great expectation for the expo, which could help promote Tunisia as a good tourist and investment destination, it added.
Tunisian exhibitors will also attend a series of meetings organized by the Bank of China on the sidelines of the CIIE, according to the ministry.
"The upcoming CIIE will be a good opportunity to show the real potential of the Chinese market to Tunisian exporters," said Dhouha Mizouni Chtourou, vice president of Tunisian-Chinese Business Council, told Xinhua.
