YANGON, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Over 70 local and international movies will be screened at a international film festival which is set to be held in Myanmar's Yangon starting from Nov. 15.
Under the theme "Life Together", over twenty classics and modern works portraying the different challenging, amusing or disturbing ways people and communities interact with each other will be featured at the 7th edition of "The Memory!", international film heritage festival.
Accompanied by some popular Ciné-concerts, the film line up covers those from drama to comedy which includes a newly restored version of a famous Myanmar classic film "Mhone Shwe Yi" at the festival.
It was learnt that the festival will be opened with "La Cérémonie", a well-known crime drama film by French director Claude Chabrol in the presence of Isabelle Huppert who earned the César Award for Best Actress in 1996 for her work in the "La Cérémonie".
Set to run for 10 days until Nov. 24, the festival will be held at Waziya Cinema for indoor screenings, Maha Bandoola Park and an alley between 33rd and 34th street for outdoor screenings.
