TOMASZOW MAZOWIECKI, Poland, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Dutchwoman Ireen Wust broke the track record with a time of 1:56.627 to win the women's 1,500m at the ISU Speed Skating World Cup here on Sunday.
A day earlier, Wust had been left disappointed as her team failed to take gold in the Team Pursuit, losing to Russia by 0.12 seconds. But on Sunday, Wust returned to her winning ways in the 1,500m.
Japan's Miho Takagi took silver with 1:57.176, while Evgeniia Lalenkova from Russia was third, finishing in 1:57.283.
Han Mei from China started in the first race and wasn't able to beat Russia's Daria Kachanova. Han's time of 2:00.334 was only enough for 18th place.
