BELGRADE, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Late three-pointer of Lorenzo Brown gifted the win of the Serbian basketball champion Crvena Zvezda over Spain's Valencia on Thursday in Belgrade, which was Zvezda's fourth victory in the 11th round of the regular season of the Euroleague.
In an exciting match in front of 6,000 fans, the home team created the early advantage 11-4, thanks to precise field goals and three pointers of Branko Lazic, but Valencia quickly annulled it with points of Bojan Dubljevic.
Guest team's Jordan Loyd scored two field goals for a turnaround before the second quarter, and Valencia managed to defend this lead until the halftime.
However, the Serbian team leveled the score at 41-41 in the beginning of the third quarter after field goals of Borisa Simanic and James Gist. Brown controlled the game with his assists, allowing his team to create a 10-point gap at 57-47.
Valencia made an amazing comeback in the fourth quarter with a 8-0 series, thanks to three-pointer of Aaron Doornekamp, and precise free-throws of guest players.
After score was leveled once again at 73-73, with just two seconds on the clock, Brown beat the buzzer with a three-pointer.
Brown ended the game with 19 points and 6 assists and was the most efficient in the home team, followed by Lazic with 14 points. On the other side, Dubljevic scored 22 points with 8 rebounds for Valencia.
In the 12th round, Valencia next week plays in Madrid against Real, while Crvena Zvezda travels to France to face Asvel.
