KABUL, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan government's National Procurement Commission (NPC) has approved 35 contracts worth 46 million U.S. dollars, the Presidential Palace said on Wednesday.
The NPC presided by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani reviewed 37 procurement contracts which resulted in approval of 35 contracts worth more than 46 million U.S. dollars, the palace said in a statement.
"Moreover, based on the agenda; the NPC members reviewed the implementation report of previous NPC instructive decisions dozens of projects and road building schemes," it added.
In addition to the NPC members and officials of National Procurement Authority, the participants also include national and international observers, representatives from Integrity Watch Afghanistan (IWA), Upper House of national parliament, Combined Security Transition Command (CSTC-A), the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), according to the statement.
