SANAA, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Yemen's Houthi rebels said they shot down two Saudi-led coalition's spy drones near the border with Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
"One spy drone was shot down near the border of the southwestern Saudi region of Jizan, while the other drone was downed near the southern Saudi region of Asir," the Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said in a statement reported by the group's al-Masirah television.
There was no immediate confirmation from the Saudi-led coalition, which has been battling the Iran-allied Houthi group in Yemen for over four years.
The coalition intervened in Yemen's civil war in March 2015 to support the Yemeni government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
