Ear cleaning is one of the favorite leisure activities for locals in Chongqing. Born in a family engaged in Chinese medicine for generations, Li Cunlin started to learn the skill of ear cleaning over a decade ago. She strived for innovation and perfection through learning from ear cleaning masters and reading medical materials. Her persistence finally paid off in 2019, as her "Sanxin ear cleaning skill", consisting of 10 procedures with over 20 tools, was listed as a intangible cultural heritage of Chongqing.
