KIEV, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed senior diplomat Serhiy Kamyshev as Ukrainian ambassador to China, the president's official website reported on Thursday.
Kamyshev is now Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the People's Republic of China, according to a decree signed by the president on Wednesday.
After serving as Ukrainian ambassador to China in 2004-2009, Kamyshev later became deputy minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The new Ukrainian ambassador to China replaces Oleh Dyomin, who left the post in May 2019.
