BEIJING, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- "S.W.A.T," an action film that puts the spotlight on Chinese special police, is set to hit the big screen Friday, according to the film's official Weibo account.
Featuring roles based on real-life characters of the "Blue Sword Commando Unit," a Chinese special weapons and tactics (SWAT) unit, the film tells of two teams of a SWAT unit from hard training to a mission.
Directed by Ding Sheng, the film is referred to as the first Chinese mainland film with all main characters being special police officers.
