BEIJING, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- The civil aviation authorities across the Taiwan Strait have confirmed the additional flights to Taiwan for the 2020 Spring Festival, planning to approve all additional flights before Dec. 31, said a mainland spokesperson.
The airline companies will offer additional flights between Jan. 9 and Jan. 10, said Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, made the remarks at a press conference Wednesday.
The mainland civil aviation authority has repeatedly suggested relevant authority on the island to arrange additional flights to meet the needs of Taiwan compatriots returning home for the Spring Festival, which will fall on Jan. 25.
The Office will continue to coordinate with the mainland civil aviation authority to guarantee the additional flights, said Zhu.
