BEIJING, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- Eight Chinese cities including Shanghai and Guangzhou have been selected to host the inaugural edition of the expanded Club World Cup in 2021, the Chinese Football Association (CFA) announced on Saturday.
The other host cities are Tianjin, Wuhan, Shenyang, Jinan, Hangzhou and Dalian.
The 2021 FIFA Club World Cup, the 18th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, will be the first under a new format and will take place in China from June to July 2021. It will be contested by 24 clubs from the six continental confederations and replaces the seven-team annual event.
