CHITWAN, Nepal, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- Nepalis have taken part in the elephant beauty pageant which aims to bring humans closer with elephants, encourage wildlife protection and conservation, and promote tourism in the region.
The competition was held during the 16th Elephant Festival in Sauraha, a tourism hub in southwest Nepal's Chitwan district.
