BEIJING, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- The iconic turrets of the Forbidden City drew crowds of people including tourists and photographers Monday morning after an overnight first snow this year covered Beijing in white.

People inspired by the snow turned hutongs and parks into a fairyland of cute snowmen.
