SHANGHAI, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Shanghai Museum signed a cooperation agreement Monday with China's leading AI company iFLYTEK, to jointly build the country's top-notch "smart museum."
iFLYTEK will provide core technical support such as artificial intelligence, big data and information security services to the Shanghai Museum.
Li Feng, deputy director of the Shanghai Museum, said AI technology will help the museum provide smarter services to visitors, and also assist in cultural-relics restoration projects as well as research of ancient Chinese books and documents.
Two other companies, Axess (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. and Tongji Architectural Design (Group) Co., Ltd., will also join the program, according to the agreement.
Founded in 1999, iFLYTEK is a Chinese enterprise well-known for its intelligent voice and artificial intelligence technology.
