MAHMUD-E-RAQI, Afghanistan, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Five militants were killed as Afghan security forces stormed a hideout of Taliban fighters in eastern Kapisa province on Wednesday, said an army statement released on Thursday.
The operation was launched in Sultan Khil area of the restive Tagab district late Wednesday. All those killed in the raids were local militants, the statement said.
Taliban militants, who are active in parts of the troubled Kapisa province, have not commented on the report.
