SEOUL, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- South Korean President Moon Jae-in's approval rating rose this week, topping the negative assessment for the past weeks, a weekly poll showed Thursday.
According to the Realmeter survey, support for Moon added 0.2 percentage points over the week to 49.2 percent this week.
The negative assessment on Moon's management of state affairs slipped 0.5 percentage points to 45.7 percent. The positive support for Moon surpassed the negative assessment for three straight weeks.
Support for Moon's ruling Democratic Party gained 0.2 percentage points over the week to 42.0 percent this week.
The main conservative opposition Liberty Korea Party garnered 31.2 percent of support score this week, down 0.9 percentage points from a week earlier.
The minor progressive Justice Party won 5.4 percent of approval score, followed by the minor conservative Bareun Future Party with 4.3 percent, the center-left Party for Democracy and Peace with 2.2 percent, and the far-right Our Republic Party with 1.3 percent each.
The results were based on a poll of 1,506 voters conducted from Monday to Wednesday. It had plus and minus 2.5 percentage points in margin of error with a 95 percent confidence level.
