Powerful explosion hits chemical plant in Spain's Tarragona

MADRID, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- A powerful explosion ripped through a chemical plant in the city of Tarragona in northeastern Spain on Tuesday and caused a massive fire.

According to the fire brigade in the Catalan Region of Spain, the explosion, which caused a huge fireball visible across the city, happened at around 18:45 local time.
