KUWAIT CITY, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait opened on Sunday Historical Archive Center Museum at Kuwait University to introduce heritage of the Gulf Arab country.
Specking at the opening ceremony, Abdullah Buwair, director of the museum, said the museum's rooms are divided into different sections.
"The first room has the belongings of Kuwait's martyrs during the Iraqi invasion and another is dedicated to (belongings of) the rulers of Kuwait and the history of folklore," he said.
There is also a room called the Diwan and Heritage Hall which includes books and documents about history and rulers of Kuwait along with old documents related to the Kuwaiti heritage, Buwair added.
Sheikha Maymona Al-Sabah, general supervisor of the museum, said the museum contains historical documents of the history of Kuwait.
"We are in the process of bringing more documents in cooperation with various sectors," she noted.
