ANKARA, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Wednesday that Turkey expects Russia to comply with the commitment of the cease-fire in Syria's rebel-held Idlib Province, semi-official Anadolu news agency reported.

Speaking at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Cavusoglu pointed out that the Syrian government's attacks in the last rebel-held enclave are "unacceptable."

He called on Russia to abide by a recent cease-fire brokered by Ankara and Moscow.

"The (Syrian) attacks on civilians, without any discrimination, are unacceptable. We expect Russia to commit to the cease-fire's pledges as the (Syrian) government's guarantor," Cavusoglu said.

Ankara has voiced concern that the intensified attacks of the Russia-backed Syrian government have forced around 300,000 people to flee to safer zones toward Turkey from Idlib.

Turkey is hosting 3.6 million Syrian refugees and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan recently warned that his country would not accept any more migrants.
