SEOUL, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- South Korean President Moon Jae-in's approval rating rose to 47.0 percent, a weekly poll showed Thursday.
According to the Realmeter survey, support for Moon gained 1.7 percentage points over the week to 47.0 percent this week.
The negative assessment on Moon's management of state affairs fell 1.0 percentage point to 49.9 percent.
Support for Moon's ruling Democratic Party advanced 2.0 percentage points to 40.4 percent this week.
It was followed by the main conservative opposition Liberty Korea Party, of which the approval score contracted 0.6 percentage points to 32.1 percent.
The minor progressive Justice Party garnered 4.4 percent of support, trailed by the minor conservative Bareun Future Party with 4.1 percent and the minor right-wing New Conservative Party with 3.8 percent.
