JERUSALEM, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- Ten major websites of Israeli security forces have been the target for more than 10,000 cyberattacks each during the past three months, the Hebrew-language news website "Ynet" reported on Sunday.

The data, based on a report by Israeli-U.S. cybersecurity firm Imperva, also shows that some 40 other Israeli law and government websites were cyber-attacked more than thousand times each.

The Israel National Cyber Directorate told Ynet that government websites are protected by highly advanced defense systems and the attacks had no impact on them.

Imperva, founded in 2002 and located in the coastal city of Tel Aviv and in Redwood City, California, was acquired in January 2019 by the U.S. company Thoma Bravo for 2.1 billion U.S. dollars.
