BERLIN, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- China's innovative mobility technology company Human Horizons has initiated an agreement with Bosch Connected Mobility Solutions on further cooperation on new technology -- Battery in the Cloud.

Mark Stanton, chief technical officer at Human Horizons, and Elmar Pritsch, president of Bosch's Connected Mobility Solutions division, represented their companies at a signing ceremony held on Thursday on the sidelines of the two-day Bosch ConnectedWorld 2020 (BCW) conference, which kicked off here on Wednesday.

The new Battery in the Cloud technology connects electric vehicle batteries with the cloud to extend battery life, substantially improve battery performance and service life.

David Ding, founder of Human Horizons, said in a statement obtained by Xinhua that "Bosch is a leading supplier of automotive and smart transportation products and services, seasoned in the development and application of Internet of Vehicles (IoV), preventive safeguards based on Internet of Things (IoT), big data solutions, and autonomous driving."

This agreement further accentuates Human Horizons' commitment to the development and production of truly smart vehicles with a secured open platform that continuously adapts through deep learning, he said.

"We are all aware that in the world of mobility, connectivity will only arrive if you have partners which can make it happen," Pritsch said after signing the agreement.

"In search of partnership, I am very happy that we have already built up a strong relationship with Human Horizons because we have been collaborating for a long time," he added.

"We really admire the innovative work and speed how Human Horizons is bringing a new way of designing the car for the future," he said.

Describing Human Horizons' car design as "amazing," Pritsch said both sides can do even more in smart mobility apart from cooperation on Battery in the Cloud.

"Battery health can define the value of the car," Stanton said. "What we are working on with Bosch is connecting the car to the cloud, which helps us to predict any failure that may happen in the battery."

"That's really a key thing for us to do," he added.

Founded in August of 2017, Human Horizons is an innovative technology company committed to future intelligent mobility with its "3-Smart" strategy: Smart Vehicle, Smart Transportation and Smart City.
