ISLAMABAD, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Two cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Pakistan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Zafar Mirza said in tweet on Wednesday night, adding that both the patients are in stable condition.

One of the patients travelled from Iran to the country's southern port city of Karachi where he was tested positive of the disease, Executive Director of National Institute of Health Aamer Ikram told Xinhua.

The man, who started showing symptoms of the disease in Iran, landed at Karachi airport, and he was admitted to a hospital of the city where his test was positive, an official with Sindh ministry of health said.
