URUMQI, March 19 (Xinhua) -- A bazaar in Yengisar county, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, has come back to life.

Every Tuesday is bazaar day for the people of Sagan, a town in Yengisar. The bazaar held on March 17 was abuzz with vendors and shoppers trading food, clothes and other necessities.

All bazaars were suspended amid the outbreak of novel coronavirus. As the last COVID-19 patient in Xinjiang was discharged from hospital on March 10, markets across the region have resumed, and the Sagan bazaar was the first in Yengisar to have reopened. ■
