Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport in E China resumed construction

QINGDAO, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Jiaodong International Airport is designed to be a zero-transfer comprehensive transportation center integrating high-speed rail, subway, expressway andairport. Travellers will be able to reach the whole area of Qingdao within one hour and to reach the major cities in Shandong Peninsula within 1.5 to 2 hours.

The airport started construction at the end of 2015 in Jiaodong Town, Jiaozhou City, with a total investment of 41.566 billion yuan (approximately 5.846 billion U.S. dollars).

The construction work of the airport was fully resumed recently.
