BEIRUT, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's Prime Minister Hassan Diab said Wednesday that Lebanon will not accept that the United Nations remains silent on repeated Israeli violations of Lebanon's sovereignty.

"The United Nations should expose this behavior publicly by all means," Diab said during his meeting with Stefano Del Col, head of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), at the Grand Serail.

Diab insisted that the exchange of messages about these violations was not sufficient to put an end to Israel's violations.

"We will no longer look at these violations as if they are natural," he said.

Diab also raised the issue of the area occupied by Israel in north of the Blue Line in Naqoura, which covers an area of 1,850 square meters, while stressing that Israel is required to withdraw from it.

The prime minister reaffirmed Lebanon's commitment to the U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701, while underlining the need for the UNIFIL to keep operating in southern Lebanon without any change in troops number and mission, despite the financial difficulties experienced by the United Nations.

Meanwhile, Del Col assured that the situation is stable along the Blue Line, while emphasizing the need to end Israeli violations with the help of the Security Council.
