Nearly 50,000 senior students of high schools in Beijing returned to classrooms on Monday after months of closures as the COVID-19 epidemic situation has been eased in many Chinese cities. According to the Beijing municipal education commission, the city has 51,226 students in their final year of high school this year. At present, 49,979 of them have met the conditions for returning to school.
