SYDNEY, April 29 (Xinhua) -- Four new ministers of Solomon Islands' Democratic Coalition Government for Advancement (DCGA) government were sworn in on Wednesday in a major cabinet reshuffle ordered by Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare.

The new cabinet sees Commins Mewa as new Minister for Forest and Research, Ishmael Avui as the new Minister for Lands, Lanelle Tanangada as new Minister for Education and Human Resources Development and Senley Levi Filualea as the new Minister for Agriculture and Livestock.

The government said in a statement that two ministers who lost their posts in cabinet were expected to be appointed as chairpersons of government committees in latter announcement.

"Reshuffling of these Ministers was done in the collective best interests of the DCGA to ensure effective implementation and delivery of ongoing priorities during these challenging times," the statement said. Enditem
