MANILA, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Six people died when a fire that destroyed a row of houses in Manila's Tondo district on Thursday morning, local media reported.
According to reports, the fire, which broke out at 6:30 a.m. local time, gutted at least eight wood-frame houses along a street in the densely populated district.
Firefighters got the blaze under control 45 minutes later, the reports added.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
