LAGOS, May 4 (Xinhua) -- The Nigerian defense headquarters on Monday said troops operating in the restive northeast region have killed at least 134 Boko Haram militants and arrested 16 informants for the militants during military operations in Borno state.
John Enenche, Nigeria's defense spokesperson, said in a statement that a large cache of arms and ammunition were also recovered during the operations on May 1 and May 2.
The spokesperson urged troops to remain "focused and ruthless" as they take the fight to the fleeing remnants of the enemies of the nation. Enditem
