RAMALLAH, May 13 (Xinhua) -- Palestine on Wednesday confirmed a new case of the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number in its territories to 548.
Palestinian Health Minister Mai al-Kaila said in a press statement that the latest infection case is a woman in East Jerusalem where 37 patients have recovered.
A total of 421 have recovered from the virus in Palestine, accounting for 76.8 percent of all infection cases, al-Kaila added.
The number of active cases is 123, 77 of which are in East Jerusalem district, 24 in the southern West Bank district of Hebron, 13 in Ramallah district, three in the northern districts of Nablus and Tulkarem and six in the Gaza Strip, she noted.
Meanwhile, 562 were requested to commit to home quarantine over the next three weeks, according to the minister. Enditem
